Senior UNIX System AdministratorI was the senior system administrator at Avolo. In this roll I had primary responsibility for developing and implementing a Highly Available 7*24 Production Server environment and a highly dynamic Developmental Server environment. The server environment included Linux, Windows NT 4, Windows 2000 Server and Oracle 8i. Avolo’s application was based upon Java with some limited use of ColdFusion. My responsibilities included all aspects of administering the server environment and included:

Senior UNIX System AdministratorI supported a number of servers hosting critical line of business applications. When these servers are down, airplane production stopped at Boeing. From 1995 through 1997, I supported mainly HP-UX servers with some Sun support. From 1998 to June 2000, I primarily supported IBM NUMA-Q servers running Oracle and Web based applications. I also continued to provide support to HP-UX and Sun servers. Responsibilities included:

Design EngineerI worked on a number of projects early in my career including: the design/development of test and repair facilities for avionics components; design/development/implementation of an automated circuit card factory; design/development/implementation of computers for electronic circuit design (CAE Tools); and the design/development/implementation and support of an office automation system.
